The Post-Graduate Department of Commerce and Business Administration, Khalsa College Amritsar organized Workshop on Income Tax and E-Filing of Return for Students from 2ndMarch to 6th March, 2020 in the Computer Lab of Commerce Department. The primary objective of the workshopwas to impart practical training to the students of B.Com VI about the IncomeTax and E-Filing of Return.
Naiya Sachdeva, an associate of C.A. Sahil Sachdeva was the resource person in this workshop. She is expert in the field of taxation who provided practical knowledge to the students regarding various aspects of Direct Taxation such as filing of ITR-I, TDS, Form-26AS, Form-16, Form-16A, Pay Roll Process and Advance Payment of Tax.
This Workshop was planned and executed under the supervision of Dr.Mehal Singh (Principal and Workshop Chairman), Dr. Avtar Singh (H.O.D & Workshop Director), Dr.A.K. Kahlon, (Dean, Commerce) , Dr. Poonam Sharma (Workshop Coordinator)assisted by Prof. Reema Sachdeva and Dr. Jagdish Kaur. In the inaugural session, Dr. Poonam Sharma welcomed the resource persons and introduced the distinguished guests. Dr.Avtar Singh threw light upon the theme of the workshop and highlighted the importance of gaining practical knowledge regarding different aspects of taxation as it can help them a long way in their professional career. Around 125 students from the department participated in the workshop.
