The Post-Graduate Department of Commerce and Business Administration, Khalsa College Amritsar organized Webinar on “Tax Saving Schemes for Salaried Employees in the Present Scenario” held on 22 September, 2021 at 11:00 A.M. in the Commerce Department. Advocate S.Gurpreet Singh Grover was the resource person in webinar. He possesses a very vast and in-depth knowledge about the Tax Planning. The primary objective of webinar was to impart awareness to the participants regarding diverged options available for tax savings for salaried employees.
This Webinar was planned and executed under the leadership of Dr. Mehal Singh, (Webinar Chairman), Dr. A.k. Kahlon, (Webinar Director) and Dr. Sawraj Kaur, (Webinar Coordinator). In his inaugural address, Principal Dr. Mehal Singh highlighted that the practical knowledge about tax planning is essential for everyone in present time. Dr. Sawraj Kaur welcomed the resource person and introduced the distinguished guests. Dr. A.k. Kahlon threw light upon the theme of the webinar and focussed that this webinar is primarily designed to provide awareness about innovative techniques of tax savings . Advocate S.Gurpreet Singh Grover highlighted the significance of most useful Tax Saving Avenues. He explained the diverged Tax Saving Schemes available for Salaried Employees in the Present Scenario and threw light on its practical implications to maximise take-home salary and lower down the tax pay-out. Around 200 members from the various departments of the college and other colleges along with the post graduate students participated in this event and gained knowledge about the practical utility of the Tax Panning avenues. Dr.Sawraj Kaur proposed the vote of thanks at the end of the webinar. Dr.Deepak Devgan, Dr. Poonam Sharma, Dr. Ajay Sehgal, Dr. Rachhpal Singh, Dr. Nidhi Sabharwal, Prof. Reema Sachdeva, Prof. Sakshi Sharma, Dr. Manisha Behal, Prof. Pooja Puri, Dr. Samiya, Dr. Jagdish Kaur, Prof.Manpreet Kaur, , Dr. Amarbir Singh and Prof. Amanjot Kaur of the Commerce department also participated in the webinar. The event was successfully conducted with the coordinated effort of Organising Committee members Prof. Meenu Chopra, Dr. Megha, Prof. Sukhjinder Kaur and Dr. Kiranjot Kaur.
