UGC Sponsored Faculty Enrichment Programme on Tax Planning and E-Filing of Return held on 29 Feb, 2020
The Post-Graduate Department of Commerce and Business Administration, Khalsa College Amritsar in collaboration with IQAC organized UGC Sponsored Faculty Enrichment Programmeon Tax Planning and E-Filing of Returnon 29 Feb,2020 at 10:00A.M. in the seminar hall of Commerce Department.C.A.Gaurav Aggarwal, FCA,DISA (ICAI),CPA (USA) was the resource person in the programme. C.A.GauravAggarwalpossesses a very vast and in-depth knowledge about the Tax Planning. He is accompanied by his junior fellow CA Rahul Badhwar, who is also a qualified chartered accountant from ICAI, New Delhi. Moreover, C.A.Rahul Badhwar spoke about E-Filing of Return. The primary objective of the programme was to impart practical training to the faculty members from different departments and colleges about Tax Planning and E-Filing of Return.
The Faculty Enrichment Programme was planned and executed under the supervision of Dr.Mehal Singh (Principal and Programme Chairman), Dr Avtar Singh (H.O.D & Programme Director), Dr. A.k. Kahlon, (Dean, Commerce) and Dr. Ajay Sehgal (Programme Coordinator). In the inaugural session, Dr. Ajay Sehgal welcomed the resource persons and introduced the distinguished guests. Dr.Avtar Singh threw light upon the theme of the programme and focussed that this programme is primarily designed to provide awareness about innovative techniques of tax planning and E-Filing of Return. Principal Dr.Mehal Singh highlighted that the practical knowledge about tax planning and E-Filing is essential for everyone in present time. C.A.Gaurav Aggarwal highlighted the significance of Tax Planning and explained the basics of Tax Planning mechanisms in the first technical session and discussed the comparison among Current Budget and Previous Budget in the second technical session. C.A. Rahul Badhwar assisted him in providing training to the participants regarding E-Filing of Return in the third technical session. Dr.Taminder Singh Bhatia, IQAC Director was also present in the valedictory session. Around 70 faculty members from the various departments of the college and other colleges participated in the FEPand gained knowledge about the practical utility of the Tax Panning avenues and E-Filing of Income Tax Return. Dr. Poonam Sharma,Assisstant Professor of the Commerce department hold the valedictory session. Dr.Sawraj Kau rproposed the vote of thanks at the end of the workshop. Dr. Deepak Devgan, Dr.Rachhpal Singh, Dr.Nidhi Sabharwal, Prof. Meenu Chopra, Prof. Reema Sachdeva, Dr.Aanchal Arora, Prof. Sukhdeep Kaur, Prof. Sakshi Sharma, Dr.Shivani Nischal,Dr.Manisha Behal, Dr.Megha, Prof. Pooja Puri, Dr.Samiya, Prof. Hartejpreet Singh, Prof. Sukhjinder Kaur, Dr.Jagdish Kaur of the Commerce department were present in the workshop.
