The Post-Graduate Department of Commerce and Business Administration, Khalsa College, Amritsar organized 'An Overview of Skills Sets required for Banking, Finance and Insurance Sector” in collaboration with Bajaj Finserv Co. on 24th August, 2022. Mr. Kanwaljit Singh, lead trainer (Punjab Cluster) Bajaj Finserv, was the resource person in the programme. Mr. Kanwaljit Singh possesses vast and in-depth knowledge of financial services. The primary objective of the programme was to provide guidance on the various skills required for rendering banking, financial and Insurance services.

The programme was planned and executed under the supervision of Dr. Mehal Singh (Principal and Programme Chairman) and Dr. A. K Kahlon (Dean and Programme Director). Dr. A. K.Kahlon, HOD Commerce welcomed the resource person. Dr. Ajay Sehgal (Programme Coordinator) threw light upon the theme of the programme. Prof. Meenu Chopra (Assistant Professor) introduced the distinguished guest and conducted the stage. Mr. Kanwaljit Singh explained the various national level CSR initiatives undertaken by Bajaj Finserv for benefit of the students. He also highlighted on the ways of improving communication and workplace skills to the participants. He emphasized that the professional trainers of Bajaj Finserv Co. will train the students under CPBFI Programme of this company.

More than 100 students from commerce department participated in the programme and gained knowledge about the skills required for the jobs and interview in Banking, Finance and Insurance Sector.

Dr. Sawraj Kaur, Dr. Deepak Devgan, Dr. Poonam Sharma, Dr. Rachhpal Singh and other faculty members of Commerce department were present during the programme.
