The Dunncliff Chemical Society,Post Graduate Department of Chemistry, Khalsa College, Amritsar organised poster competition on the theme "Environment and sustainability” for the science students of the college on 30-08-2022. A number of students of various science classes viz. B.Sc. (Non Medical), B.Sc. (Medical), B.Sc. (Hons) Chemistry, M.Sc. Chemistry and M.Sc. (Hons) Chemistry participated in the event. The posters were mounted under two subheads namely Postgraduate Category and Undergraduate Category.
The posters were displayed in the front corridor of the chemistry department and were evaluated by the Dr B.K. Randhawa (HOD, Chemistry Department) and Dr. Amit Anand (Associate Professor, Chemistry Department). Two posters were selected as best posters in Undergraduate category and one in Postgraduate category. The certificates were awarded to all the participants.
Malkit Singh of M.Sc. Chemistry Sem-I bagged the best poster award in Post Graduate category.
While Gurpreet Kaur of B.Sc.(Hons) Chemistry Sem-Vth and Arpan Vishwakarma, Sohaibudhin and Sukhmeet Kaur of B.Sc. Non-Medical Sem-I bagged the best poster award in Undergraduate category
The poster competition was very well accepted by all the students of the science departments and this activity enhanced their interest and concern towards science, environment and suitable approaches towards better future. All the faculty members of chemistry department were present during the event.
