Alumini Meet: P G Department of Food Science and Technology on 08.03.2025
Objective: Interaction of Alumni with on-going students and encourage as well motivate them to pursue in their professional life.
Benefits in Terms of Learning/Skill/Knowledge: To provide a stage for students to interact with pass out students and gain knowledge and experience from their struggles in order to get prepared for future endeavours.
Report: Department of Food Science and Technology, Khalsa College, Amritsar has organised an alumni meet on March 8, 2025. Event commencement happened at 11:00 AM at the Department of Food Science and Technology. The event began with warm welcome given by Dr. Sandeep Singh. Dr. Gursharan Kaur, Head, Department of Food Science and Technology has given a keynote address introducing alumni with the faculty and students as well as their professional achievements. Alumni were then invited one by one where they shared their success stories and struggles. They also felt nostalgic by telling their memories of the department at their times making students realise the importance of college in life. It was a very fond experience for everyone who has attended the event. The meet concluded with a high tea attended by all faculty members and alumni.
The event was successful giving a chance to pass out students for sharing their experiences with the students. At the closure of event Dr. Gursharn Kaur and Dr. Sandeep Singh thanked the attendees and staff for the participation and organising the event.
