Visit to Laxmi Oil Ltd, Angarh, Amritsar

The Department of Food Science & Technology had organized Industrial Visit for BFST-V^th & VII^th Sem and M.Sc. III^rd Sem to Laxmi Oil Ltd, Angarh, Amritsar. The students were accompanied by Prof. Davinder Pal Singh and Prof. Rajan Sharma. The plant manager had shown various sections of mustard oil manufacturing including receiving of raw material, size reduction, extraction, filtration and packaging of oil. They have described the mechanical design of equipment used and quality control parameters involved in processing of oil.
