School of Computer Science and Applications, Khalsa College, Amritsar in collaboration with Institution’s Innovation Council (IIC) organized one day Workshop on "Prototype/Process Design and Devlopment”. The workshop was conducted by Er. Sandeep Sood, Senior Programmer,Guru Nanak Dev University, Amritsar. Dr. Atam Singh Randhawa, Principal, Khalsa college Amritsar, Prof Sukhwinder kaur, Head, School of Computer Science and Applications and Dr. Rupinder Singh, Co-coordinator of the event welcomed Er. Sandeep Sood by giving him a momento for his contribution to the academic development of the students. Dr. Atam Singh Randhawa emphasized the importance of skill-based learning and encouraged students to actively engage in innovation-centric activities. He highlighted the role of such workshops in enhancing the employability and entrepreneurial potential of young technocrats. Prof Sukhwinder kaur said that the aim of workshop is to bridge the gap between theoretical knowledge and real-world application by empowering students with the tools and methodologies required to design, develop, and refine working prototypes and processes. During the technical sessions, Er. Sood discussed in detail the stages of prototype design, including idea conceptualization, process architecture, user interface design, testing, and iteration. He also shared real-life examples of projects that evolved from initial concepts to fully developed applications. His interactive and hands-on approach kept the participants engaged throughout the workshop. Students were also given the opportunity to present their ideas and receive feedback on how to transform them into viable prototypes. The session concluded with an open Q&A, where Er. Sood addressed students’ queries and encouraged them to pursue innovation fearlessly. Dr. Mani Arora, Dr. Anureet Kaur and Prof. Prabhjot Kaur were present in the workshop.
