Khalsa College Computer Science Students OutShines in University Exams
Students of Khalsa College, Amritsar (An Autonomous College) achieved top positions in the final exams of University held in May, 2019. M.Sc. (Computer Science)-final year students namely Manpreet Kaur(82.58%), Gurleen Kaur(82.25%), Simaljot Kaur(81.6%), Manpreet Kaur (79%) and Manpreet Kaur(77.5%) brought laurels to college by bagging first five positions respectively in university examination. Gurpreet Kaur(80.33%), Simran(78.95%) and Chandanjot Kaur (77.25%) of M.Sc. (Computer Science)-1styear secured first, second and third position resp. M.Sc. (IT)-final year students namely Sandeep Kaur(84.95%), Manjot Kaur(84.79%) and Karanjit Singh(78.62%) stood first, second and third respectively. M.Sc.(IT) first year student Komal (86.16%), Kiranjit Kaur (85.33%), Aisha Karim (83.91%), Anita Kirn (81.25%) and Harpreet Kaur (80.91%) stood first, second, third, fourth and fifth position.
BCA- 1st year students Avtar Singh (88.1%), Gagandeep Kaur (85.3%), Simratpal Singh (84.2%), Shampy Shailjopy (83.62%) and Simranpreet Kaur(83.12%) achieved top 5 university positions. Navdeep Kaur(80.71%) and Kanchanbir Kaur(80.28%) stood first and second in BCA 2nd year. BCA final year students Manpreet Kaur (83%) and Kawalpreet Kaur (80.9%) stood first and second resp. B.Sc. (IT)-1st year students Simerdeep Kaur(84%), Rebecca James(80.3%) and Arjun(78.1%) stood first, third and fourth resp. B.Sc. (IT) - final year student Amritpal Singh stood first by scoring (84.1%) marks and Anureet Kaur stood second with (80.6%) marks. B.Sc. (CS) 1st year students Rupinder Kaur (85.8%) and Ramandeeep Kaur (85.37%) stood first and second resp. Students of PGDCA, Arshdeep Kaur (89.25%), Harmeet Kaur (86.5%) and Gagandeep Kaur (86.1%) stood first, second and third in university exams. Similarly DCA students, Navneet Kaur(86.5%), Gurleen Kaur(85.7%) and Jiwan Jyoti( 85.5%) secured first, second and third positions.
Principal Dr. Mehal Singh congratulated the students who worked hard to achieve their goals. He appreciated the hard work of Head of Department Prof. Harbhajan Singh and the faculty members who helped the students to make their college proud with their results in the exams. He always encourages students by announcing incentives and cash prizes to meritorious students who brought laurels to the college with an outstanding performance. He gave the students warm regards and wishes for their bright future and wished them success in life
