TECH-FEST 2017
P.G. Department of Computer Science & Applications, Khalsa College Amritsar organized Tech-Fest 2017 on April 15, 2017. Dr. Mehal Singh, Principal Khalsa College Amritsar was the Chief Guest of the function and he inaugurated the function by lightening the lamp. Prof. Devinder Singh, Registrar Khalsa College and Prof. Navneen Bawa, OSD, Khalsa College were the guests of Honour for the function. Dr. Mehal Singh said that such events enhances the talent of students and help them to know about new technologies being used in the current era. He praised the Computer Science Department for organizing Tech Fest 2017.
Prof. Harbhajan Singh Randhawa, Head Department of Computer Science & Applications presented the departmental report. He said that such technical events help students to reach out to the new technologies in Computer and IT and help to enhance the competitive spirit of students. He said that the success of this event is the result of hardwork of every staff member of Computer Science department.
Tech Fest 2017 is a blend of Technical, Cultural and Creative events in which 33 teams participated in creative events, 33 teams in technical events and 20 teams participated in cultural events from different colleges throughout Punjab.
Dr. Mehal Singh, Principal Khalsa College Amritsar distributed the prizes to the winning teams. Khalsa College Amritsar won the overall trophy. First runner up was Khalsa College for Women, Amritsar and Second runner up was Lyallpur Khalsa College Jalandhar. Principal Dr. Mehal Singh congratulated the winners. Prof. Kawaljit Kaur Co Convenor Tech-Era Computer Society gave vote of thanks. Prof. Sukhpuneet Kaur and Prof. Sonali Tuli handled the stage.
