Training and Placement Cell of Khalsa College Amritsar organized a 5 Days Pre-Placement Training Workshop for all the final year students from September 26 to 30, 2024. The five day workshop was inaugurated by Dr. Mehal Singh, Principal Khalsa College Amritsar, Dr. Harbhajan Singh Randhawa, Director Training and Placement Cell and Dr. Anureet Kaur, Assistant Director by welcoming the key facilitator Mrs.Vimmi Sethi, an experienced soft skills trainer with the living plant.

The transformative workshop focused on empowering students to unlock their full potential and cultivate essential life skills that will help students to build confidence, enhance communication skills and foster a positive mindset. Day 1 focused on language fluency, sub skills of speaking, personality development and attire of the students during the interview. On the second day series of mock interviews were conducted, simulating real-world interview scenarios. Students participated actively and received personalized feedback on their performance and communication skills. The third day began with an interactive session on resume writing, where experts provided valuable insights into crafting a professional, concise, and impactful resume. Fourth day, the session aimed to equip participants with crucial aptitude skills, a key component in the recruitment process of most companies. Mr. Jatinder Kumar and Mr. Jatin Mohan Sharma from IBT, Asr conducted an interactive session that focused on developing problem-solving techniques, analytical thinking and time management which is essential skills for clearing competitive exams and job interviews.

The workshop concluded on Sept 30 with a valedictory ceremony where Chief Guest, Principal Dr. Mehal Singh and Dr. Taminder Bhatia, Dean, Academic Affairs distributed certificates to all participants, acknowledging their dedication and successful completion of the workshop. Principal emphasized the importance of continuous learning and skill development in today’s competitive job market. He encouraged participants to apply the knowledge gained during the workshop to nurture their personal and professional growth. Dr. Harbhajan Singh, Director, Training & Placement Cell extended a vote of thanks by expressing gratitude to the chief guest, trainers and participants. Principal Sir appreciated the efforts of Training and Placement Cell for organizing such workshops from time to time which train our student to be creative, innovative and polish their skills needed for the industry. Dr.  Harbhajan Singh assured the students that such programs will be arranged in future also so that no stone is left unturned in shaping the future of students. Placement Coordinators Prof Sonali Tuli, Prof  Haryali Dhillon , Prof Rohit Kakaria assisted in organizing this event under the guidance of Dr. Harbhajan Singh and Dr. Anureet Kaur.
