The Post-Graduate Department of Commerce and Business Administration, Khalsa College Amritsar organized under “Community Services Programme” Carrer Guidance for +2 Class students of Government Sr. Sec. School ,Mirzajan, Batala on 09.02.2024.  The programme was planned and executed under the guidance of  Dr. Mehal Singh ( Programme Chairman) and  Dr. A. K Kahlon (Programme Director) and Dr. Sawraj Kaur (Programme Coordinator).  Dr. Sawraj Kaur welcomed the faculty members and students from the school. Principal Dr. Mehal Singh appreciated the initiative of the Commerce Department and congratulated on successful organisation of the event.

The students were shown the whole Commerce Department including Department Library, Commerce Lab, Computer Lab and Research Lab. The school students were  apprised about the diversed Courses run by the department and the career opportunities associated with these courses. The primary objective of the event was to elevate, enrich the students from rural background with modern day education system.

Dr. A. K Kahlon, Head & Dean, Commerce motivated the school students by saying that the Department of Commerce has a stellar reputation for its course curriculum development, teaching, and research in the field of commerce. It is considered premier and highly regarded in this discipline.

Dr. Sawraj Kaur extended vote of thanks to all the guests and students. She added that the faculty of Commerce Department is committed towards holistic development of all the students in the field of Commerce and Management. She assured that department will keep on organising such events in future too.

Sh. Manoj Kumar, Principal of Government SSS, Mirzajan along with teachers S. Charanpreet Singh, S. Balwinder Singh, S. Sukhwinder Singh, Smt.Shivali also attended programme. Dr. Deepak Devgan, Dr. Poonam Sharma, Dr. Ajay Sehgal, Dr. Rachhpal Singh and other faculty members of Commerce department were present during the programme.
