Press Note for “Career Counselling Programme” in Post-Graduate Department of Commerce and Business Administration, Khalsa College, Amritsar on 15th February, 2025


 

The Post-Graduate Department of Commerce and Business Administration, Khalsa College, Amritsar organized “Career Counselling Programme” for the students of Government Girls Senior Secondary School, Dala, Moga on 15th February 2025. Around 14 students participated in this event. The event was planned and executed under the supervision of Dr. A. K. Kahlon (Programme Chairperson).

The students were shown the whole Commerce Department including Department Library, Commerce Lab, Computer Lab and Research Lab. The school students were apprised about the diverse courses run by the department and the career opportunities associated with these courses. The primary objective of the event was to elevate and enrich the students with modern day education system.

Dr. A. K. Kahlon (Principal and Head) motivated the school students by saying that the Department of Commerce hasa stellar reputation for its course curriculum development, teaching and research in the field of commerce. Dr. Sawraj Kaur, Dr. Deepak Devgan and Dr. Poonam Sharma welcomed the faculty members and students of school. They assured that department will keep on organising such events in future too.

 Prof. Meenu Chopra addressed the students and guided them regarding the different commerce courses of the department.  Dr. Harpreet Kaur extended vote of thanks to all the guests and students. The teachers accompanied the students were Ms. Ruchi Mangla (Principal), Ms. Harjeet Kaur, Mr. Kanwaldeep Singh, Mr. Pritam Singh, and Ms. Amarjeet Kaur Sangha.

Prof Pooja Puri, Dr. Aanchal Arora, Prof. A.S. Bhalla, Prof. Tushar Batra, Prof. Amanjot Kaur, Prof. Shivali Sharma, Prof. Navpreet Kaur, Prof. Nidhi Thakur, Prof. Shehnaj Kaur, Prof. Jasleen Kaur, Prof. Manpreet Kaur and other faculty members of Commerce department were present during the programme.
