SEMINAR ON "CELEBRATION OF NATIONAL STARTUP DAY”

P.G. department of Food Science & Technology, organised a one-day seminar entitled, Celebration of National Startup Day on 31st January, 2025. P. G. Department celebrated the National Startup Day with an aim of igniting the spirit of entrepreneurship among students. This event was held in collaboration with the Institution Innovation Cell (IIC) at Khalsa College.
The guest speaker was Dr. Nachhatarjit Singh, Director & Founder, Dr. N S Microanalysis Food Testing Centre, Amritsar. Dr. Nachhatarjit Singh inspires young minds to dream big, embrace innovation, and contribute to the country's development. Dr. Singh educates and inspire students about the significance and potential of India's startup ecosystem.
The seminar was aimed to guide students about the burgeoning startup culture in India and its impact on the economy, innovation, and employment. Dr. Nachhatarjit Singh motivated students to consider entrepreneurship as a viable career path and encourage them to explore their own startup ideas. In his enlightening presentation, Dr. Singh provides valuable insights and knowledge about the startup ecosystem, including funding opportunities, mentorship, and the challenges faced by startups. He shared his field experiences with the students and gave them useful tips for opting for a good career. The event not only raised awareness but also inspired students to consider entrepreneurship as a viable and exciting career.
