The Department of Geography Khalsa college Amritsar organized a guest lecture on “Place of
Physical Geography among Classification of Sciences” on 3 rd April 2023 in seminar hall. It was
organized by Prof. Inderjeet Kaur under the guidance of Principal Dr. Mehal Singh and Dean of
Arts and Humanities Prof. Jaspreet Kaur. The eminent speaker for the guest lecture was Dr.
Satinder Kaur, Head of PG Department of Geography, S.R Govt. College Amritsar.
In her lecture she explained what is the place of Geography among classification of sciences and
the relationship of Geography with all other Physical and social sciences. She talked about the
relevance of Geography and how Geography influence our life, our culture and traditions.
At last, the vote of thanks was delivered by Prof. Jaspreet Kaur, Dean arts and
humanities. All the students of Geography department were present during the lecture. Faculty
members Dr. Jashandeep kaur (Psychology), Dr. Jasdeep Kaur (sociology) were also present in
Seminar hall to attend the lecture.
