The Chemistry Department (Dunnicliff Chemical Society) was honoured to host an invited talk by Dr. Mandeep Singh Bakshi on December 19, 2024, as part of faculty development initiatives. Dr. Bakshi, an esteemed academic and Associate Professor in Department of Natural and Applied Sciences at the University of Wisconsin-Green Bay, delivered an insightful session titled “Faculty Enrichment Program.” Dr. Amit Anand, the Head of the Department of Chemistry, welcomed Prof. Bakshi, and set the tone for the lecture, and extend a warm welcome to all attendees.
The talk emphasized the importance of continuous professional development and strategies to enhance teaching efficacy, research innovation, and collaboration among faculty members. Dr. Bakshi shared various models of faculty development, focusing on the integration of technology in education, interdisciplinary collaboration, and international research opportunities. Dr. Bakshi also outlined methods for fostering student engagement and critical thinking, highlighting innovative assessment techniques and interactive learning strategies.
