Training Workshop on Vermicomposting and Solid Waste Management

The Zoological Society organized a "Hands on Training Workshop on Vermicomposting and Solid Waste Management" on September 25, 2024. The workshop was organized under ‘Environment Education Program’ by Ministry of Environment Forests and Climate Change and Nodal Agency Punjab State Council for Science and Technology, Chandigarh. The workshop was organized to provide hands on training of vermicomposting procedure to the students and highlight its importance for solid waste management for keeping the environment clean and green. About 150 students of B.Sc. (Medical), M.Sc. (Zoology), and Diploma in Medical Laboratory Technology participated in this workshop. Students and faculty members took pledge to keep the environment clean and green.
