PG Department of History and Political Science organised a guest lecture on Guru Nanak Life and Legacy
Post-Graduate Departments of History and Political Science organized a guest lecture on “Guru Nanak’s Life and Legacy”at seminar hall in The Sikh History and Research Department of Khalsa College, Amritsaron March 03, 2020. Dr. Mohinder Singh, Director BhaiVir Singh SahitSadan, New Delhi was the chief guest. College Principal Dr. Mehal Singh welcomed the resource person.
On this occasion, Dr Mohinder Singh elaborated the life and legacy of Guru Nanak. He further said, Guru Nanak convinced the others through the dialogue and advocated the use of rationality to prove truthfulness. While explaining the teachings of Guru Nanak, Dr Singh emphasized to develop tolerance, encourage manual labor and havea firm belief to dispense social justice. Besides, he reminded the audience to fight against the social and economic evils for which Guru Nanak took firm stand to oppose such discriminations. Dr. Singh also displayed the paintings depicting the life sketch of Guru Nanak and his philosophy.
At this occasion, students and teachers of History and Political Science were present.
