World Physiotherapy Day Celebration
The P.G. Department of Physiotherapy of Khalsa College, Amritsar celebrated the ‘World Physiotherapy Day’ on 7th September, 2024. The event was inaugurated by respected Principal Dr. Mehal Singh. This day is celebrated by the department every year. The students celebrated the ‘World Physiotherapy Day’ by participating in various activities organized by the department. The activities included various competitions among the students viz. ‘Physiotherapy Rangoli Competition’, ‘Flyer making’, ‘Quiz’, ‘Skit Competition’, ‘Poster making’ and ‘Model making’. The active participation of the students from Bachelor as well as Master Programs showed enthusiasm for the day. They tried to depict the various medical and health issues through creative art. Also the teachers of the department gave insight towards the emerging “Scope of Physiotherapy” in the Society.
Dr.Varinder Kaur, Head Department of Physiotherapy and Dr. Manu Vishist made the students aware of the importance of this day and also discussed the current scenario and future trends of Physiotherapy. The Physiotherapy staff members Dr. Mansi Tuli, Dr. Anmoldeep Kaur, Dr. Sandeep Pal, Dr. Gurleen kaur, Dr. Satkarjit Kaur, Dr. Mansimrat Kaur, Dr. Kulwant Kaur, Dr. Sandeep Kaur, Dr. Kiran Aroa, Dr. Riya Khullar and Dr. Shubkarmanpreet Kaur were also present there. The winners of all the competitions were rewarded with certificates. Principal Dr. Mehal Singh appreciated the efforts of the students and motivated them to organize such events in future as well.
