World Physiotherapy Day Celebration
The P.G. Department of Physiotherapy of Khalsa College, Amritsar celebrated the ‘World Physiotherapy Day’ on 8th September, 2022. The event was inaugurated by respected Principal Dr. Mehal Singh. This day is celebrated by the department every year. The students celebrated the ‘World Physiotherapy Day’ by participating in various activities organized by the department. The activities included various competitions among the students viz. ‘Physiotherapy Rangoli Competition’, ‘Poster Presentation’, ‘Model Presentation’ and ‘Skit Competition’. The active participation of the students from Bachelor as well as Master Programs showed enthusiasm for the day. They tried to depict the various medical and health issues through creative art. Also the students of BPT final year imparted the quick physiotherapy solutions for various orthopedic conditions to the patients coming in the Physiotherapy OPD, teaching and non-teaching staff members from other departments. On this day various Orthopedic helping aids and portable machines display was arranged in the physiotherapy OPD by Gupta Surgical.
Dr. Manu Vishist, Head Department of Physiotherapy made the students aware of the importance of this day and also discussed the current scenario and future trends of Physiotherapy. The Physiotherapy staff Dr. Aman Navneet Kaur, Dr. Manpreet Kaur, Dr. Loveleen Saini, Dr. Jigyasa Arora, Dr. Shubhneet Kaur, Dr. Amanpreet Kaur, Mrs. Navneet Kaur, Dr. Baljeet Kaur were also present there. The winners of all the competitions were rewarded with certificates. Principal Dr. Mehal Singh appreciated the efforts of the students and motivated them to organize such events in future as well.
