February 28, 2025 Amritsar. The Post Graduate Department of English of Khalsa College Amritsar organised a Literary Quiz for the students. Dr. Arvinder Kaur Kahlon, the Principal of the College graced the occasion as the chief guest.
The programme commenced with the recitation of the College Shabad. Prof. Supninderjeet Kaur welcomed the chief guest and informed that the department organizes various co- curricular activities to inculcate self -confidence, art of public speaking and interest in literature among students.
Dr. Arvinder Kaur Kahlon in her Presidential address said that a quiz proves to be a preparatory exam before examination. It is also the application of theoretical knowledge. Literary events are the food for human soul, therefore co-curricular activities are special opportunities for the holistic development of the students. She emphasized on the need of maximum participation in these activities.
Dr. Sawant Singh Manto , presented the Vote of thanks. He thanked the principal and HOD for their support and guidance. The Quiz was efficiently conducted by Prof. Gurpreet Singh. The Students of B. A English (Hons.), M. A English and B.A with Elective English participated in the Quiz. This event was benefitted by 250 students.
