The Social Science Society, under the dynamic leadership of President Aditya Sharma and Vice-President Jastaran Singh, organized a memorable and heartwarming Teacher’s Day Celebration on 5th September. The event was an exceptional tribute to the dedication, hard work, and contributions of our beloved teachers, and it was attended by educators from various Departments, making it a truly grand affair. The program commenced with the gracious presence of our Chief Guests, Prof. Jaspreet Kaur (Dean. Arts & Humanities) and Dr. Sawant Singh Manto (HOD, Social Sciences Department), emphasized the importance of education and the lifelong impact teachers have on shaping students’ futures. After that, students expressed their admiration and gratitude for their teachers by reciting poetry, poems, songs etc. Each poem resonated deeply with the audience, reflecting the respect and appreciation students hold for their mentors. Moreover, the students had prepared a series of fun-filled games that truly brought out the playful side of our teachers. Watching the teachers enthusiastically participate in activities such as musical chairs and quiz games brought smiles to everyone. After performing all the tasks, a grand cake-cutting ceremony took place. Teachers, led by Prof. Jaspreet Kaur and Dr. Sawant Singh Manto along with staff of Social Sciences cut the cake to the applause of students, marking the celebration’s pinnacle. The refreshments gave everyone a chance to relax, socialize, and share their thoughts on the day. The Teacher’s Day celebration was truly a success, with both teachers and students cherishing the moments spent together. The celebration ended with joy, happiness & laughter. In the words of our Dean Madam Prof. Jaspreet Kaur, “Such moments remind us of the joy in teaching and the mutual respect between students and teachers.
