P.G Department of Music, Khalsa College Amritsar organized One Day Workshop on Basant Utsav
The P.G Department of Music, Khalsa College, and Amritsar organized a One-day workshop on the topic of “Basant Raga-The spiritual eco of Gurmat Sangeet and Shastriya Sangeet’’. Renowned musicians and experts Dr. Alankar singh, (Head, Department of Music, In-charge Gurmat Sangeet Chair) Punjabi University, Patiala was invited to discuss the technical aspects, composition, and the spiritual importance of Basant Raga in Classical and Gurmat Sangeet. Principal of Khalsa College Dr. Arwinder Kaur Kahlon was the Chief Guest of the function. Dr. Atam singh Randhawa Head, Department of Music addressed to the gathering and highlights the importance of raga basant in the field of classical and Gurmat Gangeet. The workshop provided an enriching experience for all attendees, offering a deeper connection to the cultural and musical heritage of India. All faculty members of the department Prof. Navjot Kaur, Dr. Aman Kaur, Dr. Shivani Narad, Dr. Mandeep singh were present at that special occasion.
