Inauguration of AI Lab
The School of Computer Science and Applications, Khalsa College, marked a historic milestone with the inauguration of Artificial Intelligence (AI) Lab. The inaugural ceremony, held with much enthusiasm, was graced by eminent dignitaries including Dr. Mehal Singh, Vice Chancellor of Khalsa University, Amritsar, as the Chief Guest, alongside Dr. Arvinder Kaur Kahlon, Principal of Khalsa College, and Dr. Taminder Singh Bhatia, Dean of Academic Affairs. Dr. Harbhajan Singh Randhawa, Head of the School of Computer Science and Applications, warmly welcomed the esteemed guests by presenting them bouquets, symbolizing growth and sustainability. In his welcome address, Dr. Harbhajan Singh Randhawa highlighted the significance of the new AI Lab, describing it as a landmark achievement for the department. He emphasized that the facility would play a pivotal role in enhancing digital literacy among students through innovative programs and hands-on learning experiences. Dr. Mehal Singh, Vice Chancellor of Khalsa University, acknowledged the tireless efforts of the faculty and staff of the Computer Science Department in realizing this vision. He underscored the importance of practical knowledge in the modern IT era and stressed the need for equipping students with essential digital skills to thrive in today’s technology-driven world. Dr. Arvinder Kaur Kahlon, Principal of Khalsa College, expressed her admiration for the initiative and reiterated the institution's commitment to providing world-class infrastructure for students. She emphasized that AI lab would inspire innovative thinking, research, and collaborative learning. The event witnessed the participation of faculty members, including Prof. Sukhwinder Kaur, Dr. Rupinder Singh, Dr. Mani Arora, Prof. Prabhjot Kaur, Dr. Anureet Kaur, and other staff members, who joined in celebrating this momentous occasion.The establishment of the AI Lab is expected to open new avenues for research, innovation, and skill development, setting a benchmark in the region for advanced technological education.
