The School of Computer Science and Applications at Khalsa College, Amritsar organized Tech-Fest 2024 on November 8, 2024, a spectacular event that brought together students from various colleges to showcase their technical skills, creativity, and out-of-the-box innovation. Tech-Fest 2024 included a wide range of events such as Bug Debug, Gaming Storm, Code Marathon, Web Nexus, AI Showcase, and Web Blog, alongside creative competitions like IT Chart Innovation, Techno Reels, Tech Rangoli, and Junk Wars. The event also featured IT contests like Treasure Hunt, AD-Mad Show, and Quizotica, where students generated groundbreaking ideas and solved practical problems through collaboration, innovation, and technical expertise.The event was inaugurated by Dr. Arvinder Kaur Khalon, Principal of Khalsa College, Dr. Harbhajan Singh Randhawa, Head of the School of Computer Science and Applications and Prof. Sukhwinder Kaur and Dr. Mani Arora, Co-coordinator of the Tech-Era Computer Society, who welcomed the distinguished guests with a thoughtful gesture—a living plant. The event was graced by the presence of Dr. Mehal Singh, Vice Chancellor of Khalsa University, Amritsar, Also present Dr. Kuljit Kaur, Head of the Computer Science Department at GNDU, as Guests of Honour. Dr. Mehal Singh praised the efforts of the School of Computer Science and Applications for organizing such an engaging and inspiring event. He highlighted the importance of platforms like Tech-Fest 2024 in providing students with an opportunity to showcase their talents, unleash their creativity, and develop the skills necessary for success in the competitive field of information technology. Dr. Arvinder Kaur Khalon, Principal of Khalsa College, inspires the students to participate in this kind of competitions. Dr. Harbhajan Singh Randhawa, Head of the School of Computer Science and Applications, expressed his heartfelt gratitude to the participants, faculty members, and organizing team for their dedication and hard work, which contributed to making the event a resounding success.The stage was hosted by Dr. Anureet Kaur, Prof. Rupinder Kaur and Prof. Sonali Tuli.The event concluded with an awards ceremony, where the Chief Guests, Mrs. Tajinder Kaur Chinna, Director of Little Flower School,Harsha Chinna, presented trophies to the winners of various events. Mrs. Tajinder Kaur Chinna remarked that Tech-Fest 2024 serves as an essential platform for students to bridge the gap between theoretical knowledge and practical application. She emphasized how such events foster teamwork, innovation, and the development of real-world skills, making students more competitive in securing placements in leading IT companies..The overall championship trophy was awarded to Khalsa College, Amritsar, for its outstanding performance across multiple competitions. The winners of first, second, and third places in different events were also honored for their exceptional achievements.
