The P.G. Department of Political Science and Public Administration along with Centre for All India Competitive Examinations organised a Guest Lecture on Isreal- Palestine War: Genesis and Current Scenario.


 

The P.G. Department of Political Science and Public Administration along with Centre for All India Competitive Examinations of the college under the patronage of Dr. Mehal Singh, Principal, Khalsa College, Amritsar organised a Guest Lecture on Isreal- Palestine War: Genesis and Current Scenario. Dr. Jagrup Singh Sekhon, Former Head and Professor, Department of Political Science, Guru Nanak Dev University Amritsar was the resource person. Dr. Devender Singh, Registrar of the college introduced the resource person to the audience. Prof. Taminder Singh Bhatia, Dean Academic Affairs of the college extended a formal welcome. Prof. Sekhon in his address elaborated the genesis of the Palestine and Israel conflict and threw light on the various forces that an involved in the conflict. He further stated that this conflict has exposed the failure of Israeli intelligence agencies. This war will impact the people around the world decisively and, will further escalate the prices of essential commodities. It will have a deep impact on the global politics also. In the concluding remarks, Prof. Sekhon condemned the violence and strongly opined that conflict may only be resolved amicably. This was followed by the interactive session where students posed several queries to the resource person. Meanwhile, Principal Dr. Mehal Singh along with the chief guest and staff members honoured the successful students who qualified various competitive examinations 2023. Dr. Dawinder Kaur, Convenor of the Centre for All India Competitive Examinations presented the annual report of the centre. Prof. Jaspreet Kaur, Head, Department of Political Science extended the vote of thanks. Prof. Sukhjit Singh, Dr. Gurvel Singh Malhi, Dr. Harbilas Singh Randhawa, Dr. Baljit Singh, Prof. Sandip Kaur and teachers from other departments of the college and large number of students were present at this occasion.
