Educational trip of students of B.Sc. and M.Sc. Biotechnology on November 1 2017 to Verka plant, Ludhiana

An educational trip of students of B.Sc. and M.Sc. Biotechnology was organized on 1/11/2017 to Verka plant, Ludhiana. It is a leading manufacturer and supplier of cow and buffalo milk and other dairy products. Students were introduced to the functioning of different units of the plant such as sampling, loading, manufacturing, packaging units and quality assurance laboratory. The students also interacted with trainees and employees of the plant. During this trip students gained the practical knowledge about handling and sampling of milk and milk products such as ghee, lassi, curd, milk powder etc. After the industrial visit, students were taken to F2 raceway for refreshment.
