Declamation & Quiz Competition by English Literary Society
English literary Society run by the Post Graduate Department of English of Khalsa College Amritsar Organized a Declamation and Quiz Competition in the College Seminar Hall. Prof. Sukhmeen Bedi head of the department welcomed the guests and participants. In the welcome address, she informed that this year the Society has more than hundred members’ belonging to all the faculties. Emphasizing on the need of such competitions she said that they help in the overall development of the students. They also provide the right platform for confidence building.
The event started with Declamation. Students from the various faculties came up with current and burning issues to put their voice forward. Miss Parul B.Sc (Agriculture) Sem-I was declared 1st of the while Pawandeep of B.S (Hons.) English Sem-I stood Second.
Literary Quiz was the second event on the roll. Four teams participated in the contest. B.A (Hons.) Sem-III won the Competition and BA (Hons.) Sem-I were Second. Prof. Anupam Sandhu, Prof. Supninderjit Kaur, Prof. Parneet Dhillon, Prof. Sawant Singh Manto, Prof. Malkinder Singh and others graced the occasion.
