PG department of Economics, Khalsa College Amritsar organized a guest lecture on Financial Education Awareness on 11.02.2020 under the guidance of Principal Dr. Mehal Singh. Speaking on the occasion Mr. Kuldeep Thareja, Assistant General Manager, National Institute of Securities Markets emphasized on the importance of saving and investment in achieving the life goals and further highlighted the importance of financial planning, which he linked with safety, liquidity and growth. The various avenues available for investment were highlighted. The speaker also discussed various schemes available for life and health insurance. Further, Dr Bhagwant Singh, Resource person of SEBI also interacted with the students.
