Botanical Society, P.G. Department of Botany, Khalsa College Amritsar with the support of Dr. Mehal Singh organized one day seminar on"Glorius Ancient Indian Science "on 25/10/2016. The Speaker of the day was Dr. A. P. Vig, Deptt. of Botanical and Environmental Sciences, G.N.D.U. Amritsar.Dr. Mehal Singh gave a warm welcome to the speaker on his arrival to Khalsa College. In the seminarDr. A. P. Vig mentionedthe contribution of Indian Scientist in various fields viz. mathematics, astrology, medical sciences, physics etc. The students presented posters on the ancient scientists and their contribution towards science. During the session Dr. Mehal Singh, Principal Khalsa College Amritsar mentioned the importance of such type of competitive activities along with classroom studies. Prof. Kirandeep Hundal,Dr. NavkiranRandhawa, Dr. HeminderSimgh, Dr. Harjinder Singh, Dr. Madhu and Dr. Rajbir Singh were present on the occasion.
