Khalsa College Amritsar Organised One Day Seminar on the Topic: Entrepreneurship in Agri Business for Youth
The P.G. Department of Botany, Khalsa College Amritsar organized a one day seminar on "Entrepreneurship in Agri Business for Youth". Dr. Ramandeep Singh, Professor, Department of Business Management, Punjab Agriculture University, Ludhiana, delivered a lecture on the topic. Dr. Mehal Singh, Principal, Khalsa College Amritsar welcomed Dr. Ramandeep Singh and advised the students to adopt Agri business by using progressive farming. Dr. Ramandeep Singh stressed upon the imminent need for a change in mindset of farmers calling for a shift of focus from production only to production and marketing. He informed about various apps which can facilitate the farmers by linking to the social media. The students while studying can make their carrier in the field of Agriculture, as entrepreneurs. He mentioned the case studies where many farmers/students are acting as successful entrepreneurs, after getting training of progressive farming, development of new products and digital media. By using safe harvesting and processing techniques the net crop production has increased and has found great acceptability among the consumers. He hand holds the startups by sharing his smart and innovative ideas. Prof. Kirandeep Kaur Hundal, Head P.G. Department of Botany thanked the speaker and encouraged the student to work as entrepreneurs and make their carrier in respective field. Dr. Harjinder Singh, Dr. Madhu, Dr. Rajbir Singh, Dr. Prabhjit Kaur, Dr. Harpreet Kaur, Dr. Sushant Sharma, Dr. Maninder Kaur and Prof. Ramandeep Kaur were present during the seminar.
