RAWE TRAINING PROGRAMME OF P.G. DEPARTMENT OF AGRICULTURE

Students of B.Sc. (H) Agriculture Year-IV, P.G. Department of Agriculture, Khalsa College, Amritsar were  flagged off on 26.09.19  by the Principal Dr. Mehal Singh for ICAR prescribed RAWE programme (Rural Agriculture work Experience Programme) 120 students of the department have been attached to 4 villages (Mirankot kalan, Tehal Singh Nagar, Mallunangal & Adliwal) for 8 week for compulsory training to study the soci-economic profile of the villages, agronomic practices followed, plant protection measure adopted, soil  improvement techniques, extent of fruits & vegetable production, extension services provided and animal production intervention of the villages.

                        The students will ensure comprehensive study of the area & record their observations. They will also disseminate information to farmers about latest techniques, equipments, policies and schemes of the government regarding current agrarian problem.
