Great Institutions are not built great, they become great through the glorious and splendid achievements and contributions of the people attached to it. Khalsa College Amritsar acknowledges and accolades the victories of its Sports Champions for scaling new heights in various sports at International, National and State level during the session 2014-15. They have kept the banner of the College aloft with their strenuous efforts. The College today stands in all its brilliance and radiance because of their feats in sports arena and have added new dimensions of respect and greatness to their Alma Mater. In the year 2014-15, at the International level the college Baseball players Harpreet Singh, Manjinder Singh, Gurpreet Singh, Ranbir Singh, Ravinder Singh and Harminder Singh were selected for World University Games to be held in America. Cricket team was part of the team that won championship held in England. The team also defeated South Africa Cricket Team in Twenty Twenty and Test Matches during its tour in India.
Eighty students participated in All India. Intervarsity Championship, out of which 12 were girls. 14 players won Gold Medals, Two Silver and one Bronze Medal in all India Inter University Competitions. Parminder Singh, Sarpreet Singh, Sukhraj Singh won Gold Medals in American Football, Arusha, Nikita Chauhan, Parveen, Renuka, Swinta Rani, Tanuja Kanwar won Gold Medals in Cricket, Manpreet Singh in Hockey and Amandeep Singh in Judo. Parveen Kumar and Sashil Patel won Silver Medals in Canoeing National Game. Davinder Singh won Bronze Medal in Boxing at Jr. National Games and Suraj Parshad won Bronze Medal in Taek-wondo at National Games. Gurbir Singh won Bronze Medal in Dragon Boat at Sr. National Games. Our Hockey Player Harsahib Singh was adjudged the best athlete in All India Nehru Gold Cup Championship held at Delhi in March 2015.
25 Teams of the College participated in Inter College Competitions. Our college won 3rd position (boys) in A division and 2nd position (girls) in GNDU Inter College Competitions. The players won cash award of ` 4,22,000 from GNDU.
The achievement of the year 2014-15 was the BCCI (Mumbai) Technical Team's approval of the College Cricket Ground for BCCI Matches. The Diwali Tournament 2014 was organised from 11 to 13 Oct., 2014. Sixteen Teams from all over Punjab participated.
